I am a retiried FAA inspector. I cannot believe the stupidity of the Capt. If anyone should know the Federal Regulations regarding passenger seating, he should. During my career I have flown many jump seats and must admit most are not very comfortable. The Capt. made a horrible decision and should have forced the attendant to complete the flight in the jump seat. What could be worse, violating a Fedearl Aviation Regulation or a company policy? The stupid decision by the Capt. will and should cost Jet Blue the $2 million dollars. It sounds like a typical Jet Blue management blunder.
Please note, this is the first time I have ever submitted this response. There may have been a similar response, but it was not mine! I would have had to Hit the "submit" box twice which I definitely did not do. I have never participated in requested comment in the past and you can be assured I will never do it in the future!
